I remember when you first taught me this (like a decade ago) and I didn't listen at first and kept hitting a plateau. Once I did it, it helped reduce the amount of times I would injure myself and I was able to break new PRs. Great read. As always thanks for the amazing insight and knowledge.
You're very welcome! It's something many don't realize, but deloading is actually part of training. It's as much a part as something like moving up in weight each week.
Great read! I’ve been seeing “deloading” floating around online for a few weeks now but was unsure of exactly how it worked. This article cleared it up perfectly, I do actually feel well informed now, and more importantly, I know it’s imperative that I start adding them in to my training ( I usually push through my body feeling fragile/off 😬)….those days are over. I will now be deloading and training smarter 💪🏽
Michelle, glad to have helped you out. Feel free to comment on any article with any questions you have for me and I'll always get back to you. If you have a question about deloading as you're going through your upcoming on, just ask.
I just started this newsletter a couple weeks ago. Give it time and it’ll fill up week by week. I have a TON of written content to transform into formal articles!
Great information. You’ve clearly done your homework. Thanks
I always do my homework, haha.

Yes absolutely! This is the first time I’ve seen an article of yours. I’m going to look back through the old ones now!
